Sundance Outdoor Theater

What could be better on a summer evening than going to a beautiful outdoor setting and watching a fun and entertaining play with people you love. That's what we did on Monday. The place, the Sundance resort, the Play "The Fantastics", the great company, Brad, Bryan and Melissa.

Thanks, Bryan and Melissa for the invitation and the fun evening.

You can sit in the stadium on hard wooden benches, or opt for a blanket on the lawn.

This is the backdrop, pine trees with a beautiful mountain behind.

And here's the stage. No photos allowed of the production. Darn!

Ben, Kyle and Charlie at Bear Lake

Ben and Kyle started tossing the football, but it soon became a game of keep-away from Kyle's dog, Charley. He had so much energy and just kept funning back and forth. It was amazing.

The beginning of a fun week.

My family made it possible for Sara, Julie and I to go to this concert. If you are an AI fan, you will enjoy this video which I took with my own little digital camera, (Which explains the shaky quality).

Also, this week, I get to go to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Pioneer concert and to the Fray. What a curious combination. I'm excited about all of it.

A week in Phoenix!

Brad and I traded our timeshare for a condo in Scottsdale, AZ, so we got to spend a whole week in beautiful, sunny AZ. Here we are as we are waiting for our plane.

This was the golf course view we had from our Condo patio. It was beautiful and we had lots of wildlife around us. We saw jackrabbits, hummingbirds, quail, lizards and all kinds of fun critters to watch.
And, of course, beautiful bougainvilleas. Mom always had these growing in our yard in Phx. and I always loved them.
This duck decided to come see me while I was eating my breakfast out on the patio. She wandered all around me and wasn't at all afraid. It was fun.
And, of course, one of the main reasons for visiting Phoenix was to see our family. We got to spend lots of time with Brad's parents and enjoyed every minute of it.
We were able to visit Brad's Aunt Gin and Uncle John. We really enjoyed catching up with them and hearing about their family.
Steve and Jane joined us for dinner at Maggiano's. This was a restaurant we found in Boston and loved it so we were excited when there was one just down the street from where we were staying. Jane looks so good. She's lost 50 lbs. since we last saw here. Way to go, Jane!
For me, one of the best parts of our trip was reconnecting with some friends from the past. Peggy was my best friend all through high school and I haven't seen her in a really long time. We had a great time talking about old times and hearing about each other's lives
I've known Craig since I was three years old. It was so fun to reminisce about grade school, high school, and all the memories we have together. His beautiful wife, Julie, which just happens to be Peggy's younger sister, cooked us a fabulous dinner and put up with listening to us talk the night away. Thanks, Julie!
We extended our trip so we could be there for a surprise birthday party for Steve, who turned 60 while we were there. This is his surprised face!
Stephanie and her boyfriend did most of the cooking and had of lots really good food. Enjoy all the pictures from the party.
