Empty Nester's FHE Night

Brad and I are excited to now be part of an Empty Nester's FHE group. Tonight it was our turn to host the dinner. Since it's almost Easter, we decorated the table accordingly. I thought it turned out kinda cute, so took a couple of pictures.

The women decided to sit on one side of the table. Here's Carolyn and Gladys
And Carolyn, Gladys and Joanne

The men - Val, Alan and Paul. We had a really enjoyable evening and hopefully the dinner was good. Val presented a great FHE for all of us. More to come on that later.

Spring break with Kaycee

Jess and Dave invite both families to their house so we could see Kaycee while she was in town. Here's a great family photo and it even includes Brodie!

Here's Aunt Sara

Aunt Julie
Aunt Rachel - although this isn't her at the event. (I forgot to pull my camera out until everyone was almost ready to leave, and by then Rachel had already gone home. Sorry Rache)

And, of course, Kaycee and Brodie

Here are some of Kaycee's favorite friends.

Kaycee and Dave and Cafe Rio

Kaycee is here for a few days enjoying her spring break from school. For a special treat for me, she and Dave came and had lunch with me. Can you believe Dave has never been to Cafe Rio? Kaycee and I decided it was time he gave it a try. I think he liked it.

American Idol

Yeah - I do like to watch this show. This year I have many favorites, but the one who really blew me away last week was Adam Lambert, so I just had to share. I can't wait to watch again tomorrow.

A New Car?

Yes, this is me, fully expecting this to be my new car for at least two years My favorite radio station and a Subaru dealership held a contest to win a free 2 year lease on a new Subaru Forester. I won one of 98 chances to take the car home. But, it wasn't to be.

While Brad and I were waiting to find out if we won, I met a fun lady from Roy and we decided we should at least get our picture taken with Todd and Shawn, both DJ's on B98. Notice the guy behind us? He ended up being the winner. Funny that we happened to capture his picture.

Relief Society Birthday Party Evening

We had a fun evening with great friends and good food at our R.S. Birthday celebration. We found out that we carry a lot of "stuff" in our purses, but it can't beat what the younger generation carries in their backpacks. Here's Jalene as she tells us of the evenings activities. (Not sure why these came out so blurry - I'm sure it's a photographer error)
Kalin and Daylin catching up.

More friends

Sorry, Lori, I didn't mean to catch you sippin a drink.
Stephanie won for the heaviest purse .... her backpack weighed in at 17 lbs. including the laptop.

Everyone enjoying a chance to visit.
And, my favorite part, getting to see little Hannah. I call myself her Sacrament meeting Grandma cause she often sits on my lap during our meeting. I love it and her! She and her sister, Lizzie are some of the best parts of the meeting.

Dave's Birthday

Here he is in his "Birthday Suit!" ha ha

Really, though, doesn't he look handsome? Brent and Carla, Jess's parents bought Dave this beautiful suit for his birthday. He loves it.

Kelly - were you that kid who always wanted to open the other guys' presents?

Oh well, Dave, you look pretty happy. 28 years old!
No wonder Dave's so handsome. Look at his Dad!

Gotta love those Sisters!

Camera shy, Jessica, we managed to get a shot.

We love you, Dave!
